Richard Sherman Mic’d Up & Punched In The Face

To continue our “Trash Talk Week” trend on LegionReport.com – Seattle Seahawk physical CB Richard Sherman Mic’d up this past weekend vs. the Washington Redskins. It was a bit of a surprise that Sherman would Mic’ Up in such an important game for the franchise, however its evident that bashfulness or a lack of confidence wouldn’t play a factor in the performance. The question I ask myself is, “Exactly how much Kobe and the Lakers turmoil, Rex Ryan and the Jets and Lebron James and the Heat can we hear from ESPN?” How did such an entertaining clip become so scarce on the major sports news networks. The mainstream media has gotten saturated with the re-occuring stories that either keep brain dead attention or send us flipping channels right away.

You’ll notice in the clip that Sherman says to RGIII, “You’ve been having a helluva year. I’ve been proud of you since you spurned us. Hey, I didn’t want to tell nobody what I told you. But, I didn’t want you to go down that path. I’m proud of you boy!”

What that all meant …

Once upon a time Jim Harbaugh recruited RGIII to play for Stanford alongside Andrew Luck in a dual quarterback system. Sherman was already playing as a wide receiver at Stanford when RGIII turned down the offer and accepted a scholarship to play at Baylor. There were many reasons why RGIII turned down the opportunity to play at Stanford, however it is interesting to read between the lines after hearing what leaked from Sherman’s mouth at the end of his conversation with RGIII.

Anyways … The short clip below shows a Mic’d Up Richard Sherman Trash-Talk throughout the game. Make sure to watch until the end or you’ll miss the punch in the face you were probably hoping for if you are a Redskins fan! Enjoy. BTW – Washington Redskins Trent Williams did the punching.
