Zack Wheeler – 6 IP, 7 Ks, 0 ERs, W. Yesterday’s doubleheader featured a two-headed monster that should be the front line of a Mets rotation for years to come.
Matt Harvey – 7 IP, 13 Ks, W. Harvey continues to dominate as he racked up a 16.71 K/9 in yesterday’s start. I’m anxious to see how he handles an increased innings limit and wouldn’t be surprised if the Mets slowed both Harvey and Wheeler down as September approaches. On the season, Harvey currently is at 104 IP and 115 Ks.
Manny Machado – The Machado Man Crush lives on. Machado is hitting .322 on the season. As well as he has been hitting, his HR numbers don’t pop as he currently only has 5 on the year. With age that number will grow, but I would expect around 15 on the season.
Rick Porcello – Through his last 4 starts, Porcello has allowed only 4 ERs and has 30 Ks through 27 IPs. I expect Porcello to have a strong second half and should he be available in your league (34% owned in Yahoo Leagues), PICK HIM UP!
Jordan Lyles – In his last 35.1 IP, Lyles has 2 Wins, 26 Ks and a 1.53 ERA. Last night, Lyles punched out 5 Ks vs. the Brewers. PICK HIM UP!
Andrew Bailey – In his last 4 IP (3 appearances), Bailey has allowed 5 ERs, 4 BB, 3 Ks and 3 HRs. Tazawa and Uehara and the backup options in that order.
Jim Johnson – Notched his MLB leading 26th Save last night vs. Detroit. Jason Grilli is second in Saves with 25.
Bryce Harper – Has been cleared to resume strengthening activities. He could return before the beginning of July.
Anthony Rendon – Hitting .390 in the last 30 days. Rendon is only owned in 33% of Yahoo League. PICK HIM UP!
Jacob Turner – In 4 starts, Turner has only allowed 6 ERs. The former 1st Round Pick is a hazardous option as he has an anemic Miami Marlin offense to support him.
Jurickson Profar – Ron Washington has recently mentioned that Profar would see time in the OF (Left Field). It appears that Texas is doing everything possible to keep Profar with the club and seeing everyday action.
