“Beast Mode” To Be A Flavor Of Marijuana

Marshawn Lynch is well known in Seattle for many reasons. He commands the Seahawks run game and will punish any defender that doesn’t give it their all to take him down. People around the country can peg his signature moment when he shed every Saints defender in a playoff upset win after they entered the tournament with a 7-9 record.

Heck, Skittles even signed Marshawn to an endorsement deal after cameras showed him munching on Skittles while on the bench during games.

Turns out Marshawn and munchies might have a little more in common than you know. The Queen Anne Cannabis Club, a medical marijuana dispensary in Seattle, is selling a strain called “Beast Mode.”

“It’s extremely strong,” store owner Nate “Diggity” Johnson told the Seattle Times. “Marshawn has gears when he’s running and it’s kind of like that. It has a little bit of a slow start and then kicks in.”

Originally, it was supposed to be called “Girl Scout Cookies,” but they didn’t think that would sell as well. Currently, it’s selling at $13 a gram and $150 per half-ounce.

Lynch isn’t the only one to be linked to marijuana out in the wild west. Coincidentally, Peyton Manning purchased 21 Papa John’s franchises after Colorado legalized marijuana. Since “Beast Mode” was trademarked by Lynch, my guess is that the name will have to be changed at some point or he will get a cut of the profit in the end. Plus, it’s a little fitting since he’s had a run in with authorities for marijuana use.
