Nolan Arenado – Domo Arenado, Mr. Roboto went 3 for 6 with his first hit being a homer in the Bigs. He also has 3 runs scored and 3 RBI’s. One of Arenado’s hit came off of Skip Schumaker, but a hits a hit. He should be owned in all leagues.
Giancarlo Stanton – He just started heating, until leaving yesterday’s game after he heard a “pop” in his hamstring. The Marlin’s DL’ed him and called up Marcell Ozuna. Ozuna’s only played 10 games above Single-A, but ranks as the 75th Top Prospect in MLB. I’d hold off on him for now. Good power, too many K’s.
Matt Kemp – Scary moment as he took a pitch off the nose yesterday. In Kemp’s past 23 at-bats he has 1 Homer, 4 RBI’s and a .304 avg.
Dylan Bundy – Received a Platelet-Rich Plasma injection and will be rested for 6 weeks. His chances at the majors this year are highly unlikely for Baltimore’s Top Pitching Prospect.
Prince Fielder– Changed his walk-up music to Mozart. He will be using the 1971 piece, “Requiem.” Apparently, Torii Hunter listens to this type of music before games, which gave Fielder the idea. He’s what he had to say about it: “I thought about how all the scores for the ‘Batman’ movies are pretty cool,” Fielder said. “So I went on Pandora and typed in movie scores, and I thought, ‘This isn’t bad.’“I heard one, and I liked it.”
Kevin Gregg – Looks like the go to guy for saves in Chicago. So far, he’s 4-4 in saves and 0 Walks. Last year he posted an ERA above 4.00. I don’t give him too long with this role.
Zach Grienke – Threw from 90 feet yesterday. Here’s what he had to say about it. “It’s still a little achy here and there, but nothing worse than what you would expect, I think.” It’s good to hear he’s making progress, but don’t expect him to return until Late June.
Matt Cain – Gave up 3 more Homers yesterday. In just 34 2/3 innings this year, Cain’s given up 9 longballs.
Josh Hamilton – Went 0-8 with 3 K’s. First Angel to do that since 1971.
Brandon Moss – Helped end the 6 Hour 32 minute 19 inning game (longest game in Oakland A’s history) vs the Angels going 3 for 8 with 2 HR’s, 3 RBI’s and 1 SB.
Matt Harvey – Threw 121 pitches yesterday in 5.1 innings, while striking out 7. Only 3 SP’s have thrown more pitches than Harvey in a single game this year. Looks like the Met’s aren’t too worried with his pitch count.
Yovanni Gallardo – Forget about pitching, Gallardo has 12 HR in his last 319 At Bats.
Albert Pujols – 4 for 8 with 2 HR’s, and 3 RBI’s in yesterday’s marathon. I still think a DL stint is likely, as he say’s he’s still feeling tons of pain in his foot.
Dustin Pedroia – Enters tonight against the Blue Jays 11 for his last 22 and is 10 for 20 career against Brandon Morrow.
