Jose Bautista – Stayed hot as he blasted another HR, notching 12 on the season. After Tuesday’s performance, Bautista has raised his average to .299 on the season.
Michael Wacha – Wacha Wacha! The Cardinals finally go public in bringing up Wacha. He was scratched in back-to-back games for the Memphis Red Birds which foreshadowed his call up. He will start Thursday against the Kansas City Royals. In AAA, he currently owns a 1.71 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 74/19 – K/BB. Pick him up in all formats.
Brandon Morrow – Left Tuesday’s game after 2 innings with right forearm tightness. Morrow has been ice cold as of late. If you are an owner, sit and hold until you see some consistent production from this on-again-off-again SP.
Tyler Skaggs – After striking out 9 in 6 shutout innings, Arizona optioned Skaggs to AAA. From the get-go it was viewed as a spot start, but after an outing like that – expect Skaggs to be back up at some point this season. Safe to drop at this point.
Mike Morse – Left Tuesday’s game after 4 innings as he tweaked a quad muscle while rounding third base. Monitor his status before placing into your starting lineup.
Ike Davis – Moved to 8th in the order. He currently is hitting .155 with 57 Ks in 155 ABs. Holy Shnikes!
Billy Hamilton – Has seen a hot streak recently in AAA. With the update on Ryan Ludwick (shoulder) coming back negative, as he will not return until August/September – Hamilton could provide a spark to the Reds offense. If he stays hot, a call up is imminent.
Brian McCann – McCann is hitting .281 with 6 HRs, 14 RBIs and a .968 OPS in 16 games after coming off the DL. Must start status.
Matt Harvey – Got the no-decision vs. the Yankees last night, but produced 8 strong innings with 10 Ks and 0 BBs. At this point, Harvey is in the top 3 for NL Cy Young consideration.
Jean Segura – He entered the evening with a .347 batting average and tallied 5 more hits onto his already monster season. Segura went 5 for 6 on the evening with 2 Runs and 1 RBI.
Chris Archer – Odorizzi was optioned back to AAA, making a call-up for Archer inevitable.
Tom Hamilton – This is from the May 17th Kipnis Walk-Off HR, but it’s no secret that Cleveland Indians Announcer Tom Hamilton has the best Home Run Call in Baseball!
