The All-Star game is right around the corner and as the votes come in, baseball fans are angered and upset with some of the results.
If the All-Star Game was today, The AL team is as follows:
C- Sal Perez
1B- Eric Hosmer
2B- Omar Infante
SS- Alcides Escobar
3B- Mike Moustakas
OF- Alex Gordon
OF- Mike Trout
OF- Alex Rios.
Anything fishy? Exactly, Trout is the only player who does not play for Kansas City. I applaud the support from KC fans, but they have almost ruined the All-Star Game. Luckily the MLB, with a little help from Lorde, took away 65 million thoughtless votes and had the rest of the baseball world singing “We’ll never vote Royals.” Take that advice, the Royals players have enough votes. I left a list that compares some possible choices instead of Royals players. Take a look at it and go vote! Baseball fans need YOU!

AL
Stephen Vogt
AVG HR RBI SB
.280 12 45 0
VS
Russell Martin
AVG HR RBI SB
.278 10 34 3
This was a very tough call for me. I Vogted for Vogt but I would be fine seeing either. Anyone but Sal Perez!
NL
Francisco Cervelli
AVG HR RBI SB
.324 2 19 1
VS
Buster Posey
AVG HR RBI SB
.294 9 36 0
The RBI numbers are spread apart but that is mostly because Posey hits in an RBI spot in the lineup. With that being said, although Posey has the “star power” that Cervelli lacks, Francisco has a better average and it would be his first All-Star Game. His hard work needs to be recognized.
First Base
AL
Miguel Cabrera
AVG HR RBI SB
.345 14 48 1
VS
Prince Fielder
AVG HR RBI SB
.341 10 46 0
I, like many others, want to see the best hitter in the world in the ASG starting lineup, in other words, vote for Miggy.
NL
Adrian Gonzalez
AVG HR RBI SB
.306 11 43 0
VS
Paul Goldschmidt
AVG HR RBI SB
.361 18 53 0
Goldy’s numbers speak for themself. Enough said there.
Second Base
AL
Jason Kipnis
AVG HR RBI SB
.333 5 28 10
VS
Dustin Pedroia
AVG HR RBI SB
.313 9 27 1
Does Kip deserve it? Yes, but let’s be honest. Would you rather watch the gritty, 5’8” Pedroia or Jason Kipnis? It’s an All-Star Game – Pedroia is more entertaining. That’s all.
NL
Dee Gordon
AVG HR RBI SB
.357 0 17 22
VS
DJ LeMahieu
AVG HR RBI SB
.332 3 31 7
Flash Gordon and his 22 steals along with a .357 average locked up the NL 2B vote for me.
Third Base
AL
Josh Donaldson
AVG HR RBI SB
.305 17 45 3
VS
Mike Moustakas
AVG HR RBI SB
.326 6 22 1
As I stated earlier, as of right now the AL All Star lineup is all Royals, aside from Trout. Do yourself a favor and vote for Donaldson so the game is not the NL vs The Royals plus Trout.
NL
Kris Bryant
AVG HR RBI SB
.294 7 35 5
VS
Jake Lamb
AVG HR RBI SB
.316 1 10 2
In battle of young, upcoming, third base men doesn’t Kris Bryant always win? Lamb made a case but he has much fewer at-bats than Bryant. It comes down to one thing, Jake Lamb is not Kris Bryant.
Shortstop
AL
Xander Bogaerts
AVG HR RBI SB
.293 3 26 4
VS
Jose Iglesias
AVG HR RBI SB
.337 1 9 8
Jose has an exciting glove and better stats offensively. The vote seems obvious.
NL
Adeiny Hechavarria
AVG HR RBI SB
.303 3 28 2
VS
Jhonny Peralta
AVG HR RBI SB
.312 10 35 1
Hechavarria has been one of the most fun players to watch in 2015, why not have him start at shortstop in the 2015 ASG?
DH
AL only
Mitch Moreland
AVG HR RBI SB
.307 8 31 1
VS
Nelson Cruz
AVG HR RBI SB
.311 18 41 1
Moreland is having a good year, but Nelson Cruz is having another Nelson Cruz year. Cruz has 10 more homers than Moreland. I know that I’d like to see the “boomstick” in the ASG.
Outfield
AL
Michael Brantley
AVG HR RBI SB
.301 4 34 7
VS
Yoenis Cespedes
AVG HR RBI SB
.309 9 35 3
VS
Josh Reddick
AVG HR RBI SB
.305 10 40 3
VS
Adam Jones
AVG HR RBI SB
.301 10 33 3
VS
Mike Trout
AVG HR RBI SB
.298 18 39 8
VS
Jacoby Ellsbury
AVG HR RBI SB
.324 1 6 14
All 6 are good choices, I’d be ok with any of them.
NL
Bryce Harper
AVG HR RBI SB
.346 22 52 3
VS
AJ Pollack
AVG HR RBI SB
.316 8 31 14
VS
Yasiel Puig
AVG HR RBI SB
.321 8 31 14
VS
Giancarlo Stanton
AVG HR RBI SB
.265 24 62 4
VS
Joc Pederson
AVG HR RBI SB
.253 17 33 2
VS
Nori Aoki
AVG HR RBI SB
.323 2 18 12
Harper and Stanton are the obvious two starters. For the last starter, It is a toss up. I would like to see the spot go to Aoki or Pollack, but most fans want to see Puig.
