Moore Money Moore Problems and MLB Updates

Carlos Marmol – Almost blew his 2nd save of the season on Thursday, putting the winning run on with no outs before escaping. Look for this inconsistency from Marmol to give way to Kyuji Fujikawa – Chicago’s Closer in waiting.

Kyuji Fujikawa – See above – Pick him up.

Chris Davis/Mike Morse/Justin Upton/Robinson Cano

Sticking to the Step Brothers quote – Legion Report is getting with Chris Davis and Mike Morse and riding out the hot hand. They’re absolutely scorching at the moment. We’re marrying Justin Upton, as we picked him as our NL MVP. We’re killing Robinson Cano – The cold start kills him every year. He came in as one of the hottest players in the league during the World Baseball Classic. I would factor a lot of it to the cold New York March/April weather. Don’t bail on him – he’s top shelf.

“Without Chris Davis we’re 3-0. I’ve seen a lot of guys hit the ball well against us in a three-game series. That’s the most locked in I’ve ever seen anybody.” – Evan Longoria. He’s on pace for 594 RBI’s, Ha!

Matt Moore – Tossed 6 shutout innings vs. Cleveland, notching 8 K’s. It’s going to be a fun race this season in the AL BEAST between Baltimore, Tampa Bay and Toronto.

Trevor Bauer – With Scott Kazmir getting scratched from his first start of the season and sent to the DL (Ribs), Bauer should get the call this Saturday vs. the Rays. Beware of Bauer.

Miguel Cabrera – Is now 3-13 (.231) on the season with 0 homers.

Bartolo Colon – Faces the Astro’s tomorrow. I’m spot-starting Colon; I think I could go out there and K about 10 Astro’s right now. The Astro’s have struck out 13+ times in 4 straight games. Ride The Streak!

Dan Straily – K’d 11 and got the win for the A’s against the Astro’s. Straily watched tape on Darvish pitching to the Astro’s to see “how a righty would pitch to them.” – True Story. Straily still got sent down in order to make room for the Colon start.

Phil Hughes – Coming off the DL today (4/6) to make the start. I’d probably stay away for now.

Tom Wilhelmsen – Got the ugly save with 34 pitches on Friday and it’s unlikely he will pitch on Saturday, Carter Capps is probably to guy who will get the save.

Cincinnati Reds – Had a total of 6 bombs yesterday against the Nationals. Frazier and Cozart combined for 4.

Houston Astros – Welcome to the American League.
