The Return of Kobe Bryant & NBA Updates

Welcome to another year of fantasy basketball! Legion Report plans to have a rundown of the week’s games and updates. The rankings for the following week will be posted on Sundays. Feel free to comment, boast, or voice your frustrations for the week in the comments below. We’re here for you. You don’t need an account. Michael Carter-Williams and Victor Oladipo became the first rookie duo to put up a triple double in a single game. MCW went for 27/12/10 while Oladipo had 26/10/10. The trade window for Oladipo is closing rapidly due to games like this. Eventually, the Magic will trade Jameer Nelson to a contender and then Oladipo will be on full display. Owners of Eric Bledsoe or Goran Dragic might want to consider the swap. Neither player will be healthy all season; Oladipo has been reliable.

The 6th week saw a couple of win streaks come to an end. The Thunder lost to the Trail Blazers and the Nuggets lost to the Cavaliers. Both teams were playing on back to backs and on the road.  If the Blazers and Thunder stay healthy, we might be looking at potential Western Conference Finals previews. A report came in on Friday morning that Russell Westbrook was sick but later on he confirmed that he would play. He’s a brave warrior. Almost as much as the old man that stood up to Loci. SPOILER ALERT: our football experts aren’t just football guru’s, they’re actors! Check out 1:11 mark for one of your football experts to the right of the old man. The other is at the 1:35 mark with the gelled back hair. You’re getting your fantasy football information from HOLLYWOOD ACTORS PEOPLE! Enjoy it!

In his first full week of action, rookie Trey Burke put up 16.8 points and 5.3 assists. The Jazz are not going to be in the cellar for the whole year and I expect them to be competitive. Also, Marvin Williams was injured his foot. Enes Kanter is being welcomed back to the lineup. Kanter could be more rejuvenated after his demotion. His butt has to hurt from sitting on the bench this long. And all those bumps along the way!

In other news, there’s some guy in L.A. that’s making his season debut on Sunday. Kobe Bryant will be returning that day. I’m not sure him coming back is the key piece for this team to succeed. They simply do not have that “it” factor of a playoff team. Maybe Mitch Kupchak will come through with another “fair” trade to help the team. This comes at a time when Lakerland needs a hero. Is that a bird in the sky? Wait, is that a plane?! Hold on a second. Is that Kobe’s jersey floating??

The Rockets are finally looking for a trade partner for Omer Asik. You’ve got to feel bad for the guy. After all, Dwight Howard ruined his parade. I’m not sure who would be a trade partner for them. A couple teams that come to mind are the Celtics and Nuggets. Both teams’ centers are 6’9’’. The Nuggets might be more inclined since they are looking more like a playoff team and the Celtics will want to build through the draft. Pack your bags Omer! You get to play!
