Jason Kipnis – Since June 1st, Kipnis is batting .419 with 4 HR’s, 25 RBI’s, and 9 SB’s. He’s on pace for 24 HR’s, 102 RBI’s, and 38 SB’s.
Yan Gomes – Batting .545 over the past week. He can stroke the ball, it’s not too long until he’ll be playing everyday.
Leonys Martin – Went 2-4 last night with his 16th steal on the season. I told you to grab him, if he’s still there, go do it.
Ryan Braun – Will swing a bat on Tuesday. Roenicke said this is to “see where he is.”
Jed Lowrie – Went 2-4 with 2 runs and 3 RBI’s and a homer. After slumping for an entire month, he’s came alive. He’s still batting .309 on the season.
Michael Pineda – After taking steps forward in his rehab starts, he took a major one back yesterday. Pineda went 3 inning while giving up 4 runs, 4 hits, and 4 walks; including a pair of home runs. His velocity was down in the low 90’s and he only threw 32 of 67 strikes.
Bowie Baysox – The Baysox are holding a North West (daughter of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian) baby shower on July 2nd. The baby shower will be held during the game. The fans are asked to bring new blankets and toys for the baby.
Chase Utley – The Philadelphia Daily News reported that Chase Utley could be traded. Utley is batting .384 on the season and would be a good replacement for teams in The Hunt. The Indians and Orioles seem to be two great fits for Utley.
