Jered Weaver – Left the game yesterday after falling on his arm which was diagnosed as a broken elbow, lets hope he can turn this into a Henry Rowengartner situation (Rookie of the Year):
Matt Harvey – Who said you can’t trust a guy with two first names … psshhh! I’ll trust anybody that gives me a line of 7 IP, 9 K’s and the Dubya!
Felix Hernandez – After 2 games to start the season, King Felix’s average fastball is at 90.8 MPH.
Greg Holland – Yost says Holland is still the closer. He’s got great talent, but so does Herrera and Crow. Crow got the save on the 8th, but only because Holland/Herrera both went 3 straight days. Holland’s leash is still long.
Jim Henderson – Axford is officially out as the closer in Brew Town. Henderson got the 30 pitch, 1 Hit, and 2 Strikeout Save.
Justin Upton – Up Upton Away! First player in Braves history to hit 6 HR in first 7 games of season. Second player in Braves history to have the last name Upton.
Billy Hamilton – Went 4 for 4 today and stole 3rd base easily. He already has 6 SB’s on the season. He’ll be up in no time!
St. Louis Closers – Motte is set to to undergo an MRI on the 9th. Boggs was absolutely torched with a 162.0 ERA only recording 1 out. The hard throwing Rosenthal is the next in line.
Roy Halladay – Went 4 innings, 99 pitches, and 7 earned runs. He has to reinvent himself if he still wants to compete. I wouldn’t start him until he does…
Jose Fernandez – May be the next D-Train in Miami. The 20 year old pitcher threw 5 innings with 8 ks, only allowing 3 hits and 1 run on Sunday. Add him now, if he’s still out there.
Robinson Cano – Sent two balls deep last night … haha! The weather in Cleveland was a steady seventy degrees today. If you want to guage Cano’s production, follow the weather.
