START ‘EM

QUARTERBACKS

Carson Palmer @ New York Giants

Palmer travels to New York who was recently shredded by Detroit’s Matt Stafford. The Giants Run Defense did a fine job of slowing down Detroit Runners, Joique Bell and Reggie Bush. With Andre Ellington still nursing a foot injury we’re expecting Head Coach Bruce Arians to shy away from the run in Week 2 while incorporating more of an aerial assault on the Giants shaky Pass Defense. Larry Fitzgerald’s Week 1 performance is no concern for us as he is still the face of the Franchise. There was noise this offseason that Michael Floyd would take over the WR1 role in Arizona and that looks like it has came to fruition. Still, this is a 1-0 Cardinals team looking to make the playoffs, they need every part of Fitz in accomplishing this goal!

Preferred DraftKings play: $7,300

Jake Locker vs Dallas Cowboys

We like Locker this week against a bad Dallas Pass Defense that surrendered 201 yards and 2 TD’s to Colin Kaepernick. Kaepernick’s numbers should have been better, but the 49ers took their foot off the gas pedal early in the second half. Locker finished last week against the Chiefs throwing for 266 yards 2 TD’s and 0 Interceptions. Those of you who own Philip Rivers or RG3, look to start Palmer or Locker in their place!

Preffered DraftKings Play: $7,100

RUNNING BACKS

Justin Forsett vs Pittsburgh Steelers

Forsett looks to be the early favorite to get the majority of carries in Thursdays Game against a shaky Pittsburgh Run Defense. The Steeler’s allowed the 6th most Rushing Yards last week at 186 Rushing Yards against the Cleveland Browns. Kyle Shanahan runs a very similar offense to Baltimores Gary Kubiak, who will look to pound the ball into this questionable Pitt Defense. We do expect Bernard Pierce (and possibly Rookie Lorenzo Taliaferro) to steal carries away from Forsett, but the organization isn’t very enthusiastic about Pierce as the lead runner as they benched him on his first career fumble last week. Forsett shouldn’t be viewed as a long term back this season, but his Week 2 matchup against the Steelers is as juicy as it will get for him this season.

C.J. Spiller/Fred Jackson vs Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins look to be without 3 starting linebackers in Week 2 as  Dannell Ellerbe (hip) is on injured reserve, Koa Misi (ankle) in a walking boot and Philip Wheeler (thumb) is in a cast. Spiller will be a Running Back flirting around the 20th Ranked mark this Week with Fred Jackson being a decent FLEX play. Spiller led all Buffalo RB’s in carries last Week in 15 while Fred Jackson had 7 and Anthony Dixon 5. We expect Fred Jackon’s carries to increase more in Week 2 as the Bills look to take advantage of the injured Dolphins Defense.

Shane Vereen at Minnesota Vikings

It’s evident the Patriots value Shane Vereen (61 snaps in Week 1) a lot more than Stevan Ridley (21 snaps in Week 1.) The Vikings Front Seven is nothing to mess with as they held Stacy/Cunningham to 64 Rush Yards on 16 carries. The great thing that will be utilized with Shane Vereen in Week 2 is his ability to catch the ball which will be very valuable in this matchup. Consider Vereen a must start in all leagues.

Preferred DraftKings Play:$ 5,900

Arian Foster at Oakland Raiders

Foster and the Texans travel to Oakland who allowed 197 yards and 2 TDs to the New York Jets in Week 1. Foster says the heavy workload we all saw in Week 1 is here to stay and we agree. Keep Arian Foster in your lineups!

Preferred DraftKings Play: $7,000

WIDE RECEIVERS

Vincent Jackson vs St. Louis Rams

Vincent Jackson takes on a Rams secondary with their best CB, Trumaine Johnson, still sidelined. The Rams gave up the 4th most points to WR in Week 1 at 31.0 points as it’s evident the Rams lack skill in the back part of their offense. Look forward to a Vincent Jackson bounce-back week after only catching 4 balls for 36 yards against a stout Panthers Defense in Week 1.

Preferred DraftKings Play: $5,000

Jeremy Maclin at Indianapolis Colts

The Colts defense faired well against both Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders in Week 1, holding both wide-outs without a score. Jeremy Maclin was targeted a team high 10 times for 97 yards, including a 68 yard TD that came on busted coverage. Vonate Davis is expected to stay on the right side of the field (meaning he’s expected to guard Riley Cooper) which is great news for Maclin. Regardless, we like this to be a high scoring Week 2 game as the Over/Under is set for 53.3 points!

Mike Wallace at Buffalo Bills

Mike Wallace wasn’t stranded on Revis Island after all last week, catching 7 balls for 81 Yards and a TD on 11 Targets – all while fighting for extra yards (something we haven’t seen in a while.) Mike Wallace looks happy with new OC Bill Lazor’s Offense – Fantasy owners should look forward to his Week 2 performance.

Preferred DraftKings Play: $6,100

Justin Hunter/Kendall Wright vs Dallas Cowboys

The 49ers Offense didn’t score near as much as they should have as they took their foot off the gas pedal early in the 2nd half last week. A weak Dallas Secondary and an expected shootout should warrant a start out of one of these WR’s in your DraftKings Lineup! Deposit money here to play Legion Report this week and for a chance to win $1 Million dollars.

Brandin Cooks at Cleveland Browns

Joe Haden was absolutely embarrassed by Antonio Brown last week. Why is this good news for Brandin Cooks? Joe Haden is expected to rotate/cover both Marques Colston and Jimmy Graham in Week 2. While we’re expecting a bounce-back performance from Haden, expect Drew Brees to look at his favorite new little toy a lot in Week 2. We love him even more in PPR Leagues.

Preferred DraftKings Play: $5,300

TIGHT ENDS

Zach Ertz vs Indianapolis Colts

The Colts showed us all their vulnerability to TE’s last weekend as Julius Thomas erupted for 3 TD’s and 112 receiving yards! Look for Ertz to continue solid production as he remains a major Red Zone Target for the Eagles in 2014. We recommend trading for him while you can!

 Preferred DraftKings Play: $4,800

DEFENSE

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs St. Louis Rams

Tampa Bay is not only a very tough team to play at home, but they’re also playing the St. Louis Rams at home. The Rams don’t have a drafted QB on their roster as Shaun Hill, Austin Davis and Case Keenum all went undrafted!

 Preferred DraftKings Play: $3,200
