What to Watch For

Man United vs Ipswich United enter as heavy favorites but lost 2-0 at Hull City on the opening weekend. Old Trafford wants a response, and Ipswich have already beaten Sunderland this season.
Chelsea vs Brighton Chelsea won 3-2 at Fulham on Monday. Brighton opened with a 4-0 demolition of Aston Villa, making this the most evenly matched fixture on paper despite the odds.
Leeds vs Brentford The tightest match of the day — the model gives Leeds 36.6%, Brentford 34.8%, and the draw 28.6%. Brentford beat Tottenham 3-0 in their opener.
Villa vs Arsenal (Mon) Arsenal are strong favorites against a Villa side that has conceded heavily already, including that 4-0 loss at Brighton.

Saturday’s Results

Four matches were played Saturday. Liverpool were held 2-2 at home by Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth and Everton drew 1-1, Hull City won 1-0 at Coventry City, and Newcastle United won 2-0 at Tottenham Hotspur. Manchester City opened the round on Friday with a 4-1 win at Crystal Palace.

That leaves the early table unusually open, with several of the traditional top clubs dropping points in consecutive weeks. Full fixtures and US broadcast listings are published by NBC Sports, which holds the American rights.
