The 2026 World Series opens Friday, October 23 and runs as late as Saturday, October 31 if it goes seven games, with every game on FOX, Spanish coverage on FOX Deportes and streaming on FOX One. Games 1 and 2 are at the home of the league champion with the better 2026 regular season record, Games 3, 4 and 5 are at the other park, and Games 6 and 7 return to the higher seed. First pitch times are announced once the two pennant winners are set after the League Championship Series, which can run through October 19 in the NL and October 20 in the AL.

How the Matchup Is Set
Twelve teams make the postseason, six per league. The Wild Card Series begin Tuesday, September 29 on NBC, Peacock and NBC Sports Network, the Division Series open Saturday, October 3, and the League Championship Series start October 11 in the NL and October 12 in the AL. The NLCS is on FOX, FS1 and FOX Deportes; the ALCS is on TBS, truTV and HBO Max. The two pennant winners meet in the World Series, and home field goes to the one with the better regular season record, not to the league.
