Best College Baseball Uniforms

The variations and styles of college baseball uniforms have evolved significantly over the last 10 years.

When I played college baseball from 2004-2007, we basically had 3 types of uniforms; our home jersey, away jersey, and then a versatile mesh top that we wore on hot days. 

When I watch a college baseball game today, it seems like Power 5 schools have a different jersey style for each game on a weekend series!

As college baseball has grown in popularity, schools have bigger budgets to invest in different uniform styles that are fun for the players and popular with recruits. 

Schools like Oregon stand out in college football because of their unique jersey and helmet designs, and college baseball is following suit with top programs rolling out epic jersey combinations each year.

Top College Baseball Uniforms

1. Tulane Green Wave

Tulane baseball get the top spot for the best college baseball uniforms.

The baby blue combinations with the integrated bat/retro logo through the scripted Tulane make all of their jerseys stand out.

2. Ole Miss Baseball

The defending national champs also use a powder blue in their jersey combination as well as the traditional red, white pinstripe, and navy blue tops. 

3. Michigan Baseball

Michigan is known for their old school football uniforms but its baseball uniforms are also top-notch.

With the classic block “M” and maize and blue colors, Michigan lands in the top 5 best baseball uniforms.

4. Miami Baseball

The Canes uniforms are timeless and the old-school script and orange color scheme all blend perfectly together. 

5. Oklahoma State Baseball

Oklahoma State is another program that uses its bright orange and brown color scheme well with various hats, tops, and pant combinations.

6. Notre Dame Baseball

Like Michigan, Notre Dame is known for their iconic football uniforms and their baseball uniforms are one my of favorites in college baseball.

The all-navy blue uniforms stand out on TV and give them a classy look with old-school style.

7. Maine Baseball

Maine isnt known for being a baseball powerhouse but they do have one of the sweetest pinstripe jersey styles in all of college baseball.

8. North Carolina

The Tarheels light and dark blue combination are one of my favorite uniform styles in all of sports. 

9. Vanderbilt University

Vanderbilt is a consistent top 5 program every year and also rep one of the sickest baseball uniform combinations.

Black and Gold go great together and Vanderbilt comes up with epic new uniforms designs each year.

10. Coastal Carolina

Coastal Carolina won the College World Series a few years ago and their teal and black uniforms stood out amongst the typical colors from Power 5 conferences.

11. East Carolina 

East Carolina seems like a team that knows how to have fun and their purple and gold uniforms pop every time I see them play.

Keep an eye out for this team as one that can make it to Omaha this year.

12. Pitt

The Pitt uniforms remind me of the old-school Seattle Mariners uniforms and have a great throwback look to them that blends perfectly with their baseball hat variations.

13. TCU

TCU’s baseball program is consistently in the top 10 almost every year and their retro uniform designs with the purple and white designs are legit.

14. Cal State Fullerton

Cal State Fullerton hasn’t been in the College World Series as much as it used to recently, but their uniforms are epic.

Their pinstripe pants and orange and navy blue tops are one the cleanest looks in college baseball.

15. Oregon 

With Phil Knight’s backing it’s no surprise to see Oregon on the list of schools with the best college baseball uniforms. 

16. Wichita State 

The Shockers could arguably be in the top 10 based on their hat designs alone, but they come in at number 16 in a crowded field. 

17. Boston College 

Many northern schools are starting to make a name for themselves in baseball, and Boston College is one program to keep an eye on.

I love the classic gold and red color scheme, especially the gold tops.

18. Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech is another team to keep an eye on this year for Omaha as they had a great season last year.

With a mascot name like the Hokies, you know the uniforms are going to be great.

19. Texas A&M 

Texas A&M lured away the TCU a couple of seasons ago and they have really done a great job with their uniform combos.

20. Arkansas 

Arkansas is another college baseball program with a classic uniform look that is timeless. 

21. Mississippi State

Mississippi State is a baseball powerhouse in the SEC and their Maroon and White uniform combinations are legit.

22. Clemson

Clemson’s all-white uniforms with white cleats and purple hats never get old despite how many years they have been wearing them.

Summary

College baseball is such a fun sport as the players play for the love of the game and their joy jumps out of the screen. In recent years, more college baseball games have been on TV, and the sport’s popularity has increased drastically in the last 10 years.

The uniforms are just part of the fun with college baseball, and who knows what teams will be wearing 10 years from now!
