There are no CFL games on Thursday, September 17. Week 16 is a light one after last Saturday’s quadruple header: three games, three teams idle, and one US television window.
Montreal at Hamilton, Friday 7:30 p.m. ET
A rematch of the season opener and of last year’s East Final. Montreal was the first team to clinch a 2026 playoff spot but has slipped from the top of the power rankings after a rough West Coast trip that ended in a brawl with BC and a league disciplinary hearing. Hamilton has ruled quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell out for the rest of the regular season, and Tre Ford’s status has been unclear after a limited week of practice, so the Tiger-Cats’ quarterback situation is the story going in. This is the one Week 16 game on CBS Sports Network.
Edmonton at Toronto, Saturday 3:00 p.m. ET
Toronto comes off a walk off win over Ottawa on a Lirim Hajrullahu field goal and has added UFL standout quarterback Luis Perez to the roster this week. Edmonton is in the thick of the West Division race, where several season series between contending teams are still undecided. This one is also on CTV in Canada.
Ottawa at Calgary, Saturday 7:00 p.m. ET
Ottawa has named McLeod Bethel-Thompson its starting quarterback for the trip to Calgary after a week in which head coach Ryan Dinwiddie publicly questioned the position. Calgary signed six players this week, including former Elks defender Jacob Taylor.
How to Watch in the United States
Montreal at Hamilton is on CBS Sports Network, which is also available through Fubo, YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, DirecTV Stream and Paramount+ with Showtime. Both Saturday games stream on CFL+, the league’s free streaming service in the US. 2026 is the final season of the CBSSN agreement, and a US broadcast home for 2027 has not been announced. In Canada every game is on TSN, with Edmonton at Toronto also on CTV.
Where the Season Stands
The 21 week regular season ends Saturday, October 24. Division semifinals are Saturday, October 31, division finals Saturday, November 7, and the 113th Grey Cup is Sunday, November 15 at McMahon Stadium in Calgary. Next week brings a Friday doubleheader (Toronto at Winnipeg at 8 p.m. ET on CBSSN, Saskatchewan at BC at 10:30) and two Saturday games (Calgary at Ottawa at 3, Hamilton at Edmonton at 7).
