The Main Event
Cruz is 28-3-2 with 18 knockouts and has not fought since a majority draw with Lamont Roach in December 2025. He won the interim belt against Omar Salcido in July 2025 and has held it since. The notable change in his camp is his trainer: Cruz has joined Eddy Reynoso, the coach best known for working with Canelo Alvarez, and this is their first fight together after Cruz had previously been trained by his father.
Bravo is 24-1 with 17 knockouts, a 32 year old from Arecibo, Puerto Rico, and last fought in January when he stopped Pedro Campa in the second round on the Subriel Matias card. That win earned him this title shot.
The Style Matchup
The physical gap is the story. Bravo stands 5 foot 9 to Cruz’s 5 foot 4, a five inch height difference with about six and a half inches of reach on top of it. Cruz has spent his whole career as the shorter man and has made that a problem for opponents by pressuring inside, but Bravo also carries a knockout rate near 70 percent, which is high even in a division built on power.
The bookmakers have Cruz as a heavy favorite, in the region of -650, with Bravo around +425.

Jesus Ramos Jr., 24-1 with 19 knockouts, makes the first defense of the WBC interim middleweight title he won in December 2025 against Shane Mosley Jr. He faces the undefeated Kazakh Meiirim Nursultanov.
