|---|---|---|---|---|
| Donte DiVincenzo | G | Out | DiVincenzo underwent surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles in late April, but there's optimism he'll be able to contribute for the Timberwolves later this year. Although the door is open for the sharpshooter to make a late-season return, he's highly unlikely to be a factor in fantasy leagues in 2026-27. | Apr 1 |
| Jamir Watkins | F | Out | Watkins, a two-way player for the Wizards, suffered the injury during the Summer League. Although Washington has yet to offer a timetable for a return, a typical recovery time for the procedure is approximately 9-to-12 months. That leaves Watkins in serious jeopardy of missing most, if not all, of the 2026-27 season, and it remains to be seen if the team will continue keeping him around on a two-way roster spot while he's injured. | Apr 1 |
| Shaedon Sharpe | G | Out | It's a tough blow to the Trail Blazers' depth on the wing ahead of training camp. Sharpe, who is now likely to be sidelined until after the All-Star break, had been ticketed for a reserve role behind Toumani Camara following an injury-plagued 2025-26 campaign, which saw average a career-high 20.8 points, 1.4 steals and 2.1 three-pointers per game over 50 regular-season appearances. The door is now open for Vit Krejci and Jeremy Sochan to compete for bench minutes during camp. | Mar 2 |
| Jordan Miller | G | Out | It's a tough break for Miller, who had an opportunity to battle for a reserve role during training camp in the fall. The timeline for a return is likely to keep him on the shelf until after the All-Star break. Miller's extended stay on the sidelines gives Kobe Sanders a chance to crack the Clippers' rotation. | Mar 1 |
| Mark Williams | C | Out | This is a tough blow for the center with training camp right around the corner. With his status for Opening Night in jeopardy, this will put a lot of eyes on Oso Ighodaro and Khaman Maluach, with the latter already drawing buzz during the Summer League. More clarity on Williams' timeline should be known in the coming weeks. | Feb 3 |
| Johnny Furphy | G | Out | Furphy started in 21 of 35 regular-season appearances for the Pacers, posting averages of 5.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 0.7 three-pointers in 18.4 minutes per contest. While no timetable has been announced, Furphy's absence could extend through the beginning of the 2026-27 season. With this news, the Pacers will likely lean more on Ben Sheppard, Kam Jones and Quenton Jackson moving forward. | Jan 1 |
| Moses Moody | G | Out | Moody suffered the injury March 23 and underwent season-ending surgery four days later. The 24-year-old had been targeting September to resume running and on-court work, so his latest progress appears to keep his rehabilitation on track, though he remains without a firm timetable for his return to game action. | Dec 1 |
| Jimmy Butler | G-F | Out | Butler tore the ACL in his right knee in January before undergoing surgery in early February. The star forward still does not have a clear timetable for a return to game action, though it's encouraging to see his progression thus far. The 37-year-old appeared in 38 games during the 2025-26 regular season, averaging 20.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.4 steals across 31.1 minutes per contest. | Dec 1 |
| N'Faly Dante | C | Out | Dante underwent surgery in January to repair a torn ACL and is expected to miss time to begin the 2026-27 season, so it's possible this is a move to secure his G League rights. Over four appearances with the G League's College Park Skyhawks last season, he averaged 11.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.8 blocks across 16.2 minutes per contest. | Nov 2 |
| Brandon Ingram | F | Out | The Clippers learned about the injury this summer, though it's unclear exactly how far along Ingram is in his recovery. The star forward's timeline for a return is unclear, clouding his fantasy outlook in the meantime. Darius Garland should take on all the usage he can handle in Ingram's stead, while Kris Dunn and Max Strus could have additional streaming appeal early in the year. | Nov 1 |
| Yanic Konan Niederhauser | C | Out | Niederhauser is progressing from March surgery but won't be able to suit up to begin the year. The Clippers are likely to take a cautious approach with the 2025 first-rounder. Isaiah Jackson should occupy the backup center spot behind Brook Lopez early in the campaign. | Nov 1 |
| Jayden Quaintance | F | Out | Knee | |
| Richie Saunders | G | Out | Knee | |
| Henri Veesaar | C | Out For Season | Knee | |
| Kon Knueppel | G-F | Questionable | Knueppel's status for Opening Night remains uncertain as he continues to work his way back from his left hamstring injury. Peterson's comments suggest the Hornets aren't ready to rule out the second-year wing, though his availability will likely become clearer as training camp progresses. He has already been ruled out for the entire preseason, to be clear. | Oct 21 |
| Grant Williams | F | Questionable | Williams will be re-evaluated the first week of the regular season, putting his status for Opening Night in the air. Williams will have a difficult path to minutes this season as he competes with the likes of Naz Reid, Royce O'Neale and Tidjane Salaun. | Oct 21 |
| Mouhamed Gueye | F | Questionable | Gueye will be re-evaluated by medical staff in 3-to-4 months, which means he'll miss all of training camp and preseason and likely the start of the 2026-27 regular season. It's a brutal blow for the fourth-year big man, given that the Hawks used the No. 23 overall pick of the 2026 NBA Draft to select St. John's product Zuby Ejiofor. Gueye's absence means Ejiofor will have more opportunities in the preseason, and the rookie could establish a key role off the bench behind Onyeka Okongwu and projected backup center Jock Landale (ankle). | Oct 15 |
| Kristaps Porzingis | F-C | Questionable | Porzingis will miss the start of training camp due to the unknown issue, and his status for the beginning of the regular season is murky. If the veteran big man is forced to miss time to begin the campaign, Al Horford and Charles Bassey would be candidates for increased playing time. | Oct 13 |
| Dereck Lively II | C | Questionable | Ujiri noted that Lively has progressed to shooting and is working toward running on the court, though Dallas intends to remain patient with the 22-year-old. Lively underwent right foot surgery in December after appearing in just seven regular-season games in 2025-26, averaging 4.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.6 blocks in 16.4 minutes per game. He has yet to be cleared for training camp, and his status for the beginning of the regular season remains uncertain. | Oct 9 |
| Kyrie Irving | G | Questionable | Irving missed the entire 2025-26 season while recovering from surgery to repair a torn ACL in his left knee, but he has been participating in pickup games during his ramp-up process. The 34-year-old last played in 2024-25, when he averaged 24.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.3 steals in 36.1 minutes across 50 regular-season appearances. Ujiri's comments provide another positive sign that Irving is closing in on his return, though Dallas has yet to announce a definitive timeline. | Oct 9 |
| Larry Nance Jr. | F | Questionable | There is optimism that the veteran center will be a full participant within the next one or two weeks. The injury appears unlikely to threaten Nance's availability for the start of the regular season, though his progress throughout camp will be worth monitoring. | Oct 7 |
| Zach Collins | F-C | Questionable | Collins' 2025-26 season was cut short after he underwent surgery in February due to a sprained toe on his right foot. It's unclear if the current soft tissue injury is related to the toe, but the big man's status will be worth monitoring ahead of Chicago's preseason opener against Phoenix on Wednesday, Oct. 7. If he's forced to miss time to start the regular season, Jalen Smith would have a much clearer path to playing time behind Nic Claxton. | Oct 7 |
| Micah Peavy | G-F | Questionable | Peavy was traded from New Orleans to Memphis on Sept. 8 after averaging 4.3 points and 1.9 rebounds in 15.0 minutes per game during his rookie season with the Pelicans. The 25-year-old forward faces plenty of competition for playing time on the rebuilding Grizzlies, and it's unclear if he'll be able to suit up during the preseason, which does not bode well for his chances of carving out a meaningful role early in the season. | Oct 5 |
| Jalen Duren | C | Questionable | The Pistons have reportedly offered Duren a fully guaranteed five-year, $200 million deal in restricted free agency, but the two sides remain at a stalemate. Duren is coming off a breakout 2025-26 regular season in which he earned his first All-Star and All-NBA selections while averaging 19.5 points and 10.5 rebounds on 65.0 percent shooting. The 22-year-old big man has until Thursday's deadline to accept the deal, or he'll be forced to play under a one-year, $9.6 million qualifying offer. | Oct 5 |
| Zach Edey | C | Questionable | Edey still hasn't been ruled out for the preseason, so there's a chance he will see some run ahead of the regular-season opener. The big man underwent surgeries on his left elbow and ankle in March, though he's trending in the right direction ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. The Purdue product appeared in only 11 regular-season games in 2025-26, averaging 13.6 points, 11.1 rebounds, 1.9 blocks, 1.1 assists and 0.6 steals in 25.8 minutes per contest. | Oct 5 |
| Bradley Beal | G | Questionable | While Beal has recovered from hip surgery that cost him nearly all of last year, he's now dealing with knee inflammation. His status is in doubt for the preseason opener Sunday against the Warriors, but the veteran swingman's regular-season status doesn't sound to be in serious danger for now. | Oct 4 |
| Walter Clayton Jr. | G | Questionable | Clayton is still dealing with a sprained right knee and will end up missing the entirety of Summer League play. The 23-year-old guard will now turn his attention toward thre 2026-27 campaign, and he's expected to provide backcourt depth during his second season in the Association. | Oct 1 |
| RayJ Dennis | G | Questionable | Dennis will miss a third consecutive contest due to a right Achilles issue. He appeared in just one Las Vegas Summer League game, posting 10 points, three assists, three steals and two rebounds in 16 minutes during the July 9 win over the Spurs. | Oct 1 |
| David Jones | F | Questionable | Jones Garcia is set for his second season with San Antonio in 2026-27, though most of his action is likely to come with the G League's Austin Spurs. He underwent ankle surgery in February, so it's unclear if Jones Garcia will be ready for full participation in training camp this fall. | Oct 1 |
| Jaren Jackson Jr. | F-C | Questionable | Jackson was traded from Memphis to Utah in February, though he appeared in only three regular-season games for the Jazz before undergoing surgery due to a growth in his left knee. The 2022-23 Defensive Player of the Year will look to make his presence felt on that end of the floor and anchor a now Kessler-less Jazz frontcourt. Jackson's two-way production will be crucial for a Utah team that's looking to return to playoff contention, and he hasn't averaged fewer than 18.6 points per game since the 2021-22 campaign, when he averaged 16.3 points per tilt for the Grizzlies. | Oct 1 |
| Santi Aldama | F | Questionable | Head coach Dusty May didn't elaborate, only stating Aldama is dealing with a "nagging injury." The 2021 No. 30 overall pick had spent his entire career in Memphis before being traded to Dallas in July of 2026. In 278 regular-season games, including 82 starts, he averaged 10.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists over 23.4 minutes per contest. His shooting acumen will allow the Mavericks to stretch the floor, and his versatility enables him to man multiple positions while playing various roles. Aldama underwent knee surgery in March, and while it's unknown if that's still a concern, fantasy managers should continue monitoring his health throughout training camp. | Oct 1 |
| Adem Bona | F | Questionable | Bona suffered a foot sprain this offseason, clouding his ability to participate in camp later this month. It's unclear if his status for Opening Night is in serious doubt, as he does have about a month until the regular season begins. Until Bona is cleared to retake the floor, Dominick Barlow and Ariel Hukporti should handle the backup center reps. | Oct 1 |
| Duop Reath | C | Questionable | With Mark Williams (shoulder) expected to miss around five months, Reath figures to compete for playing time with Khaman Maluach and Oso Ighodaro. Reath's 2025-26 campaign was cut short after he underwent right foot surgery in late January, and it's unclear if he'll be at full strength for training camp. Across 32 regular-season appearances for the Trail Blazers in 2025-26, he averaged 2.9 points and 1.2 rebounds across 8.1 minutes per contest. | Oct 1 |
| Scotty Pippen Jr. | G | Questionable | Pippen will have to gain clearance ahead of training camp after undergoing a toe procedure in March, but he certainly appears to be a winner of the team's offseason moves. Ty Jerome (ankle) poses a significant risk to Pippen's role, however, and the two guards figure to engage in a battle for the top role at the point this fall. Pippen is looking to bounce back following an injury-ruined 2025-25 campaign, during which he averaged 11.4 points, 4.7 assists, 2.2 rebounds and 1.9 steals in 21.2 minutes per game across 10 regular-season appearances (six starts). | Oct 1 |
| Tyler Herro | G | Questionable | Herro has spent his entire career with the Heat, averaging 19.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 0.2 blocks, 0.7 steals and 38.2 percent shooting from deep across 32.5 minutes in 394 regular-season appearances. Without question, the 26-year-old is a capable scorer, though his defensive limitations can be a problem. Herro has also had issues staying healthy over the years, most recently logging only 33 regular-season games during the 2025-26 campaign. He underwent a minor foot procedure in April, but he should be ready to go for training camp. Herro is also set to hit free agency in 2027, assuming he can't work out a long-term agreement with the Bucks. | Oct 1 |
| Chucky Hepburn | G | Questionable | Hepburn will be held out of the Raptors' Summer League finale, marking his third consecutive contest on the inactive list. The 23-year-old point guard appeared in two Las Vegas Summer League games, averaging 6.5 points, 6.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 29.1 minutes per contest. | Oct 1 |
| Keshon Gilbert | G | Questionable | A hip injury cost Gilbert his final three games in Las Vegas. In his one appearance for the Hawks at Summer League, he finished with 10 points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals in 20 minutes off the bench. | Oct 1 |
| Mohamed Diawara | F | Questionable | The severity of the finger injury is unknown, though it kept Diawara from playing in New York's final three Las Vegas Summer League outings. Over two outings in Las Vegas this summer, he averaged 3.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in 24.7 minutes per tilt. | Oct 1 |
| CJ Huntley | F | Questionable | Huntley will miss Phoenix's final three games in Las Vegas. He'll have plenty of time to rest up before training camp opens up in September. | Oct 1 |
| Myron Gardner | F | Questionable | Gardner's Summer League is over because of an ankle sprain he suffered in Friday's California Classic opener in San Francisco against the Spurs. The swingman is missing out on valuable reps as he competes for a rotation spot with the Heat, but he does have plenty of time to recuperate for training camp in the fall. | Oct 1 |
| Kevin Porter Jr. | G | Questionable | Porter (knee) had a quality 2025-26 season from a statistical standpoint, averaging 17.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 7.4 assists, 0.5 blocks and a career-high 2.2 steals across 33.2 minutes. However, the 26-year-old logged only 38 games and underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee in April. It's unknown when Porter will be cleared to suit up, though durability concerns could keep him on the bench regularly for the Bucks during the 2026-27 campaign, especially with Ryan Rollins and Tyler Herro in the equation. Still, if Porter stays healthy, he can provide valuable minutes for a team that no longer has Giannis Antetokounmpo on the roster. | Oct 1 |
| Alijah Martin | G | Questionable | Martin will miss the Raptors' Summer League finale after being held out of the team's first four games in Las Vegas. He appeared in just 23 regular-season games in 2025-26 and figures to continue providing backcourt depth in 2026-27. | Oct 1 |
| Nikola Topic | G | Questionable | General manager Sam Presti announced the restriction Thursday, and Topic is currently dealing with a back issue stemming from offseason surgery. The 21-year-old guard's participation level will be worth monitoring throughout camp as Oklahoma City prepares for the preseason. | Oct 1 |
| Jaylen Wells | F | Questionable | Wells' defensive ability and complementary skill set could help him carve out a role alongside the Grizzlies' established core. However, increased competition for minutes may make consistent opportunities more difficult to secure. In addition to Boozer, the Grizzlies also added forward Karim Lopez in the first round. | Oct 1 |
| PJ Hall | C | Questionable | Hall sustained the injury in the G League Greensboro Swarm's playoff win over the Maine Celtics on March 31. The big man appeared in 19 regular-season games (two starts) with Charlotte, averaging 4.5 points and 3.9 rebounds in 11.3 minutes per contest. He's signed to a two-way deal with the Hornets and is slated to return next season. | Oct 1 |
| Alexandre Sarr | C | Questionable | General manager Will Dawkins said Thursday that Sarr is expected to be ready for the start of the regular season, so the limited workload to begin camp appears precautionary. Sarr underwent surgery in mid-June, and his progress during the preseason will be worth monitoring, but there currently doesn't appear to be significant concern about his availability for Opening Night. | Oct 1 |
| Nate Bittle | C | Questionable | Lower Leg | |
| Morez Johnson | F | Questionable | Undisclosed | |
| Thomas Sorber | C | Questionable | Knee | |
| Mikel Brown Jr. | G | Questionable | Ankle | |
| Isaac McKneely | G | Questionable | Shoulder | |
| Trevon Brazile | F | Questionable | Undisclosed | |
| Izaiyah Nelson | F | Questionable | Ankle | |
| Alex Toohey | F | Questionable | Knee | |
| Karim Lopez | F | Questionable | Undisclosed | |
| Ryan Conwell | G | Questionable | Hip | |
| Otega Oweh | G | Questionable | Lower Leg | |
| Jonathan Isaac | F | Probable | Isaac suffered his left knee sprain late in the 2025-26 regular season and missed Orlando's entire first-round playoff series against Detroit. The veteran forward said he spent the summer rehabbing his knee and isn't fully ready for camp, though he indicated that the expectation is for him to be fine. His activity level will be worth monitoring as the preseason approaches. | Oct 7 |
| Trey Alexander | G | Probable | Alexander was taken off the court on a stretcher in Monday's 80-63 win over the Bulls due to a left rib contusion, and Utah is taking a cautious approach in its Summer League finale. The two-way player has plenty of time to recuperate ahead of training camp in the fall. | Oct 1 |
| Bryce McGowens | G | Probable | McGowens will miss the final game of the 2025-26 season, though to be fair, he hasn't played for the Pelicans since March 8 due to a fractured toe. He appeared in 42 games for New Orleans and made 13 starts, averaging 8.1 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists across 21.0 minutes per game. | Oct 1 |
| Isaiah Hartenstein | F-C | Probable | Hartenstein sat out FIBA qualifiers with Germany to nurse an ankle injury he sustained earlier this summer, so it's encouraging to see him back on the court ahead of training camp in the fall. The 28-year-old big man appears to be firmly on track for the start of the regular season in October, barring any setbacks along the way. | Oct 1 |
| Kentavious Caldwell-Pope | G | Probable | After exercising his $21.6 million player option in June, Caldwell-Pope is set to join LeBron James and the 76ers for the 2026-27 campaign. Caldwell-Pope was traded from Orlando to Memphis in June 2025 and appeared in 51 regular-season games (14 starts) with the club before undergoing surgery on his right pinky finger in February. He averaged 8.4 points, 2.7 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 0.8 steals across 21.3 minutes per contest with the Grizzlies. The 33-year-old is now expected to compete with Anfernee Simons, Labaron Philon and Justin Edwards for playing time off the bench. | Oct 1 |
| Ajay Mitchell | G | Probable | Mitchell appears to be a candidate for an expanded role in Oklahoma City's rotation after showing promise in a limited capacity last season. The team lost Isaiah Joe, Aaron Wiggins and Luguentz Dort this offseason, making Mitchell an obvious player to watch ahead of fantasy drafts. His exact place in the rotation will become clearer during training camp and the preseason. | Oct 1 |
| Anthony Davis | F-C | Probable | Davis was limited to only 20 regular-season appearances with Dallas last season due to health issues, but Dawkins said the 10-time All-Star is currently in a "great frame of mind." Washington also views Davis as a starting-caliber center in a revamped frontcourt featuring Alex Sarr and Deandre Ayton. Davis and the Wizards reportedly postponed contract extension discussions earlier this offseason, but Dawkins declined to specifically address those talks Thursday. | Oct 1 |
| Trae Young | G | Probable | With Young limited to 15 regular-season appearances in 2025-26 due to injuries, any sign of offseason rehab progress is notable. This report points to active conditioning work after his quadriceps issue, though it does not provide a return timeline or formal clearance update ahead of training camp for Washington. | Oct 1 |
| Peyton Watson | G | Probable | Watson isn't guaranteed a spot in the starting five immediately but will have the chance to compete for it during training camp. The 24-year-old forward figures to play a sizable role for Cleveland after being acquired from the Nuggets in August in a multi-team deal. Watson was limited to just 54 regular-season appearances (40 starts) in 2025-26 due in large part to a strained hamstring, though he impressed when healthy, averaging career highs in points (14.6), rebounds (4.9), assists (2.1) and steals (0.9) while chipping in 1.1 blocks per game and shooting 41.1 percent from beyond the arc. His length and defensive versatility will be key for a Cleveland team trying to reach the Finals for the first time since the 2017-18 campaign. However, his growth on the offensive end will also be crucial to achieving that objective. Watson is one of the top candidates to join James Harden, Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen in the starting lineup, but Atkinson isn't ready to commit to that idea just yet, as the Cavaliers have other options like Sam Merrill and Jaylon Tyson. | Oct 1 |
| Drew Eubanks | F | Probable | Eubanks will compete for a spot on the Knicks' regular-season roster in training camp. The big man underwent surgery to repair a torn UCL in his left thumb in mid-March, though he's expected to be fully healthy when training camp rolls around. Across 42 regular-season appearances (11 starts) for the Kings last season, the 29-year-old averaged 5.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, 0.6 blocks and 0.5 assists in 13.1 minutes per game. | Oct 1 |

How to Read the Report
Out means the player will not play. Doubtful means he is unlikely to play. Questionable means his status is uncertain and usually decided the day of the game. Day to day is used in preseason for minor issues. Players on a long term timeline, such as those recovering from surgery, are usually listed as out with a target return date once the team sets one. The NBA requires teams to file injury reports by 5 p.m. local time the day before a game and update them the day of, so the report above is most accurate in the afternoon.
