Odds are the live price on Kalshi’s prediction market expressed as an American line, refreshed every two minutes; sportsbook prices will differ. Implied is the market’s probability. 24h is the move in percentage points since the previous day’s close.
How the Field Works
Fourteen teams make the playoffs, seven from each conference: the four division winners seeded one through four by record, then three wild cards. Only the No. 1 seed in each conference gets a bye. That structure is why a team can be a coin flip to make the field and still be a long shot to win anything: getting in mostly means winning nine or ten games, and winning it all means four rounds on the road for most of the field. The championship market is on Super Bowl odds.
Where the Numbers Come From
These are prediction market prices, not sportsbook lines, and they move whenever someone trades. Before Week 1 they mostly reflect win totals and roster quality; from October on they react to actual standings, and by December a team’s number swings 20 points on a single Sunday. Watch the 24h column for the teams the market is moving on before the books catch up.
