Notre Dame has produced 113 consensus All-Americans, more than any program in the sport, and 39 of them were unanimous, named first team by every major selector. Two of the 39 came in 2025, Jeremiyah Love and Leonard Moore, and the program has had at least one consensus selection in six consecutive seasons.
The 2025 Pair
Jeremiyah Love and Leonard Moore were both unanimous first team All-Americans in 2025, the first time since 2023 and only the second since 1990 that Notre Dame had two in one season. Love ran for 1,372 yards and 18 touchdowns and finished third in the Heisman vote; his 228 yards against USC were the most by any player in the 513 game history of Notre Dame Stadium. Moore, a sophomore cornerback, had five interceptions in ten games and was targeted on roughly one in eight coverage snaps.
Jadarian Price was a first team All-American as a kick returner from Sporting News after two 100 yard return touchdowns, the first Notre Dame returner so honoured since Raghib Ismail in 1992.

The Back to Back Unanimous Selections
Four Notre Dame players have been unanimous All-Americans in consecutive seasons: Frank Carideo in 1929 and 1930, Johnny Lujack in 1946 and 1947, Johnny Lattner in 1952 and 1953, and Ross Browner in 1976 and 1977. Leonard Moore, who returns for 2026 with seven career interceptions in two seasons, has the chance to be the fifth.
1990: Three in One Year
The 1990 team produced three unanimous All-Americans, Raghib Ismail, Michael Stonebreaker and Chris Zorich, the most in program history in a single season. All three were later inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. Ismail finished second in the Heisman vote that year in a result that is still argued.
The Current Streak
Notre Dame has had at least one consensus All-American in six consecutive seasons: Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah in 2020, Kyle Hamilton in 2021, Michael Mayer and Isaiah Foskey in 2022, Joe Alt and Xavier Watts in 2023, Watts again in 2024, and Love and Moore in 2025. It is the program’s best run since an eight year stretch from 1987 to 1994 under Lou Holtz.
Where the Honours Cluster
The unanimous list is heaviest at linebacker and on the defensive line, which is where Notre Dame’s identity lived for most of the 20th century. The Heisman Connection
