It’s not the LLWS stadium
The Little League World Series is played at the Lamade Stadium complex in South Williamsport, across the river – the Classic happens up the road at Bowman Field, on a full-size MLB diamond.
Babe Ruth played here
Bowman Field hosted barnstorming exhibitions in its early decades, including a visit from Babe Ruth – a century of baseball history before MLB ever scheduled a real game there.
Five names, one park
Memorial Field became Bowman Field in 1929, and sponsorships have since made it BB&T Ballpark, Muncy Bank Ballpark and now Journey Bank Ballpark – “Historic Bowman Field” stays in every version.
Why a 2,400-Seat Park Works
