Mercedes leads the 2026 Constructors’ Championship with 425 points and eight race wins, 87 clear of Ferrari. The Brackley team has both of the top two drivers in the championship, which is what a constructors’ lead of that size usually looks like.
McLaren is third on 263 despite Lando Norris winning the most recent race.

Both drivers score for their team in every race, so a constructors’ total is simply the sum of its two cars. Liam Lawson has scored for both Racing Bulls and Red Bull this season while deputising for the injured Isack Hadjar.
Mercedes Has Two Cars Working
The 87-point margin comes down to a simple structural advantage: Mercedes has the first and second drivers in the championship. Antonelli’s 242 and Russell’s 183 add to 425, and no other team has both cars performing at that level.
Ferrari’s 338 comes from Hamilton on 183 and Leclerc on 155 — a more balanced pairing than Mercedes but with a lower ceiling. McLaren’s 263 splits 159 to Norris and 104 to Piastri.
Red Bull’s Season
Fourth on 186 points is a long way from where this team has spent recent seasons. Max Verstappen has 112 of those, with no wins and four retirements including a first-lap crash in front of his home crowd at Zandvoort.
The team has also been managing an injury to Isack Hadjar, with Liam Lawson stepping across from Racing Bulls to cover — which is why Lawson’s points are split between two constructors this year.
The Midfield Is One Race Wide
Racing Bulls on 66 and Alpine on 63 are separated by three points for fifth. That is a single good afternoon, and with 11 rounds left it will change hands more than once.
Below them the field spreads out quickly: Haas on 21, Audi on 16, Williams on 11, Aston Martin on 3 and Cadillac still without a point in its debut season.
What’s Still Available
489 constructors’ points remain across 11 Grands Prix and one sprint. Mathematically the championship is far from settled — Ferrari’s 87-point deficit is recoverable across that many rounds — but it would require a sustained swing in car performance rather than a single result.
