NFL Week 1 Injury Report: Who Is Out Sunday?

The Falcons are the story of the Week 1 injury report: Tua Tagovailoa, named the starter days earlier, is out with an oblique injury he suffered in Thursday’s practice, Michael Penix Jr. is also out, and Cooper Rush starts at Pittsburgh. The Three That Matter Most

Cooper Rush starts for Atlanta. Tagovailoa’s oblique injury came in Thursday’s practice and the team ruled him out Friday afternoon. Rush is 9-7 as a starter, mostly under Mike McCarthy in Dallas. Brock Bowers is out for Las Vegas. The All Pro tight end had a meniscus trim and the Raiders expect a short absence, but it takes the Kirk Cousins offense’s best target away against Miami. Malik Nabers is questionable. He tore his ACL last September and did not commit either way on Friday; the Giants will decide before Sunday night.
