Famous Droughts
The Jets’ Super Bowl III upset of Baltimore, guaranteed by Joe Namath, remains the franchise’s only appearance. The Dolphins’ 1972 team is still the only one to finish a season unbeaten and win the Super Bowl. The 49ers have reached three Super Bowls since their last win after the 1994 season and lost all three, two of them to Kansas City in overtime or in the final minutes, and the Cowboys have not reached an NFC Championship Game since the 1995 season.
