Why the One Game Matters
Boise State at Oregon is the most consequential Group of Five versus Power Four matchup of opening weekend. The expanded College Football Playoff guarantees a place to the highest-ranked Group of Five champion, so a competitive showing at Autzen changes how the committee reads Boise State in December.
Oregon has the inverse problem: beating Boise State earns nothing, losing costs a great deal.
Both Academies on CBS Sports Network
Army and Navy both open on CBSSN, which has long been the home for service academy football. Air Force plays the same day but on Mountain West’s streaming platform.

CBS is free over the air with an antenna. Paramount+ streams CBS broadcasts on its Premium tier, and Fubo, YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV and DirecTV Stream all include CBS.
CBS Sports Network is cable-only and is not included in Paramount+. It requires a provider that carries the channel.
