The Three Games
2018. Allen’s rookie year, Bills 4-9 and Lions 5-8, in what turned out to be the last regular season game Detroit played at the old stadium. Allen threw for 204 yards and a touchdown and ran for another in a 14-13 win.
2022. Buffalo’s second game at Ford Field in five days after a snowstorm moved a home game to Detroit. The Lions tied it at 25 with 23 seconds left; Allen opened the final drive with a 36 yard throw to Stefon Diggs and ran twice for 12 yards to set up Tyler Bass from 45 with two seconds left. He finished 24 of 42 for 253 and two scores, with 78 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown, and led the Bills in rushing.
2024. The 12-1 Lions against the 10-3 Bills, billed as a Super Bowl preview. Buffalo scored 48 and put up 559 yards; Allen threw for 362 and two touchdowns and ran for 68 and two more, one of only three games in NFL history with 340 passing yards, 60 rushing yards, two passing scores and two rushing scores, and Allen owns two of them. Jared Goff threw for 494 and five touchdowns in the loss.
