The Mountain West has 10 basketball members for 2026 to 27 after losing five programs to the rebuilt Pac-12: Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, San Diego State and Utah State. The league backfilled on July 1 with Hawai’i and UC Davis from the Big West and UTEP from Conference USA, joining Grand Canyon, which arrived in 2025. New Mexico, UNLV, Nevada and Grand Canyon give it its best basketball brands.
