The Lines That Moved
Seahawks at Cardinals is the biggest swing on the board. Seattle was a 10 point favorite on the lookahead line before Sam Darnold’s hip injury; with Drew Lock starting and Arizona coming off an outright upset of the Chargers, it is down to 4.5. Lions at Bills opened at 3 and has climbed to 5.5 at most books by Thursday, with the total up to 54.5 (Thursday’s line updated on game day; the rest of the board is as of Wednesday). Chicago is laying 5.5 to Minnesota after hanging 59 on Carolina, while the Vikings may be without Kyler Murray, who is in concussion protocol. The Chargers, who lost outright as 9.5 point favorites in Week 1, are favored by 7 again.
Games Worth a Second Look
Panthers at Falcons is the only game where the road team is favored in the early window, and it hinges on Atlanta’s quarterback: Tua Tagovailoa did not practice Wednesday with an oblique injury, and Cooper Rush and Michael Penix Jr. were both full participants. Bengals at Texans is a near pick with Joe Burrow limited by a back issue but saying he will play. Eagles at Titans carries the lowest total of the week at 39.5.
