No. 2 Oregon returns Heisman candidate Dante Moore and a receiver room that added Evan Stewart back from injury to Dakorien Moore and Jeremiah McClellan. The rebuild is up front: the Ducks are replacing most of the 2025 offensive line, and Dan Lanning is keeping the answers to himself until kickoff.

Position Breakdown
Quarterback. Dante Moore passed on the NFL Draft to return. Dylan Raiola is the clear backup, which is an upgrade on last year when the No. 2 changed week to week. Akili Smith Jr. and Brock Thomas are behind him.
Running back. Jordon Davison and Dierre Hill Jr. share the top line, but freshman Brandon Smith had the camp everyone is talking about and is expected to get real carries over veterans Da’Jaun Riggs and Simeon Price.
Receiver. Dakorien Moore, Jeremiah McClellan and Evan Stewart start; who lines up where changes by formation. Messiah Hampton is the fourth receiver and Gatlin Bair, back from a two year church mission, is picking up the offense fast enough to see the field early.
Tight end. Jamari Johnson is the starter. Freshman Kendre Harrison and Clemson transfer Markus Dixon fill in behind him.
Offensive line. The left side and center are the safer projections: Fox Crader at tackle, Douglas Utu at guard, Iapani Laloulu in the middle. The right side is the hardest call on the roster. Freshman Tommy Tofi and a now healthy Dave Iuli are neck and neck at right guard, and Gernorris Wilson and Ziyarre Addison are splitting reps at right tackle. Expect rotation early.
Defensive line. Bear Alexander and Matthew Johnson are both starters at nose in effect, Alexander on early downs and Johnson on passing downs. A’Mauri Washington is the tackle with Aydin Breland and Tank Jones rotating. Matayo Uiagalelei at end and Teitum Tuioti at the Jack spot are the pass rush.
Linebacker. Jerry Mixon is the most reliable defender on the team at Mac. Devon Jackson holds the Money spot with Gavin Nix pushing. Nasir Wyatt is the strong side linebacker and a breakout candidate.
Secondary. Brandon Finney, last year’s freshman CB1, is set. Na’eem Offord appears to have taken the other corner spot from Ify Obidegwu, though that battle continues. Koi Perich and Aaron Flowers start at safety with Peyton Woodyard, the biggest riser of the offseason, likely to play in three safety looks. Freshman Davon Benjamin edged Baylor transfer Carl Williams IV at nickel.
Why There Is No Official Chart
Lanning declined to release a depth chart for Boise State and, per the Idaho Statesman, Spencer Danielson responded by withholding Boise State’s. Asked about it Monday, Lanning questioned what advantage releasing one would give him. The starters will be confirmed from the box score Saturday, and this page will be updated then.
The Bottom Line
Oregon is set at quarterback, receiver, tight end and most of the defense. The right side of the offensive line and one corner spot are the open questions, and Lanning would rather Boise State find out at kickoff.
