The Fighters
Ryan Garcia (25-2, 20 KOs) won the WBC belt in February with a 12 round decision over Mario Barrios in this same building, rebounding from his upset loss to Rolly Romero. His only other defeat was the 2023 body shot stoppage against Gervonta Davis. Conor Benn (25-1, 14 KOs) is the WBC mandatory challenger and fighting for a world title for the first time. He avenged his lone loss to Chris Eubank Jr. in their rematch, then beat former champion Regis Prograis in April in his first fight under Zuffa Boxing. His father, Nigel Benn, won the same WBC belt at super middleweight in 1992. The two had to be separated at the final press conference.
