Los Angeles and the Super Bowl
This is the ninth Super Bowl in the Los Angeles area and the second at SoFi Stadium, which opened in 2020 and hosted the Rams’ home field title in 2022. The Coliseum hosted the first Super Bowl in January 1967, and the Rose Bowl hosted five. Los Angeles is in the middle of a three year run of major events: World Cup matches in 2026, this Super Bowl, and the 2028 Summer Olympics. Tickets for Super Bowl LVI at the same stadium averaged well over $5,000 on the resale market, and prices for LXI will not be set until the teams are known.
