How the Scoring Race Works

Points per game, the stat behind the scoring title. Every basket counts the same whether it comes from the line, inside the arc or beyond it, so the leaders here are the players who carry the biggest share of their team’s offense night after night.

Points per game Total points divided by games played
Qualifying 58 games played, or 70 percent of the season, to win the scoring title
Elite 30 or more per game; only a handful of players reach it in a season
Very good 25 to 29.9, an All Star level scorer
Solid starter 18 to 24.9

The board above updates automatically through the season and resets after opening night.
