How the Assists Race Works
An assist is credited on a pass that leads directly to a made basket. The assists leaders are the primary ball handlers who run their offenses, and the list is a good read on who has the ball in their hands the most.
| Assists per game | Assists divided by games played |
| Qualifying | 58 games played to win the assists title |
| Elite | 10 or more per game, a rare full season double digit average |
| Very good | 7 to 9.9 |
| Solid starter | 5 to 6.9 |
The board above updates automatically through the season and resets after opening night.
