What College Football Games Are on ESPN+ This Week?

Week 1: Thursday, September 3 through Saturday, September 5, 2026. All times Eastern. Updates every week of the season.

ESPN+ is where the games that do not fit on a channel go. In Week 1 that means eight FBS home games on Saturday, most of them Big 12, American and Mountain West openers against FCS opponents, plus a long list of FCS games. It is the one college football subscription you can buy by itself, but it does not include ESPN, ABC or the conference networks.

Earlier this week on ESPN+: Bethune Cookman at UCF, Buffalo, Kennesaw State, Delaware and Samford on Thursday, and San Jose State at Eastern Michigan on Friday. ESPN+ also carries dozens of FCS games each Saturday; see our FCS football schedule.

What ESPN+ Does and Does Not Include

ESPN+ is a standalone subscription and it streams every game in the table above. It does not carry the ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU channels, ABC, SEC Network, ACC Network or SEC Network+; those require a pay TV or live streaming login in the ESPN app. So if the game you want is Texas State at Texas or Clemson at LSU, ESPN+ alone will not get you there, even though the app is the same.

What Else Is On

The channel by channel breakdown for the whole weekend is on our college football TV schedule, and every score updates live on college football scores.

The Bottom Line

Eight FBS games stream on ESPN+ Saturday, spread from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET, with BYU the only ranked team in the group. ESPN+ can be bought on its own, but it is only the streaming only games; the televised ESPN and ABC games need a TV provider login.
