What Time Is Texas Tech vs. Oregon State and What Channel?
7:30 p.m. ET on CBS from Corvallis, one of three broadcast network games in the primetime window alongside Ohio State at Texas on ABC and Iowa State at Iowa on NBC.
A Long Trip for a Ranked Team
Texas Tech beat Abilene Christian 33-10 in its opener, leading 17-0 at half and scoring on all five red zone trips, though three of those were short field goals and quarterback Will Hammond looked rusty in his first start since tearing his ACL. Oregon State lost 33-20 to Houston but threw for 376 yards and trailed by only six with nine minutes left after closing as a 20.5-point underdog.
Texas Tech has won both prior meetings, including 45-14 at home last year. The Red Raiders’ offense should have far more room against Oregon State than it did against Houston, but the Beavers have already shown they can keep a ranked team uncomfortable at home.
The Bottom Line
7:30 p.m. ET Saturday on CBS. Texas Tech is a heavy favorite; the question is whether the Red Raiders look like a top 15 team doing it.
