Boise State Football Schedule 2026: Full Broncos Slate, Dates, TV, and Key Games

Boise State opens its first season in the rebuilt Pac-12 the hard way: at No. 2 Oregon on Sept. 5, a road opener for the sixth straight year. The Broncos then play three of the next four at home, host Utah State in the first Pac-12 conference game in program history on Oct. 3, and close the regular season with a nonconference flex game whose opponent the league will not name until six days before kickoff.

Spencer Danielson enters his third full season after three straight Mountain West titles. The Broncos went 9-5 in 2025, beat UNLV for a second consecutive conference championship game win, and finished with a 38-10 loss to Washington in the LA Bowl. Quarterback Maddux Madsen, 20-6 as a starter, returns alongside running backs Dylan Riley and Sire Gaines.

Games That Will Define the Broncos’ Season

Sept 5 at Oregon The fifth meeting ever, and Boise State leads the series 3-1. Oregon went 13-2 and reached the CFP semifinals in 2025, and Heisman candidate Dante Moore is back at quarterback. A competitive showing at Autzen matters for the Group of Six playoff race even without a win.
Oct 3 vs Utah State The first Pac-12 conference game in program history, on The Blue. Utah State is one of the four former Mountain West schools that made the move with Boise State.
Oct 10 at Fresno State Fresno State handed Danielson one of his two conference losses as head coach, went 9-4 in Matt Entz’s first season, and added Maryland transfer Khristian Martin at quarterback. A late Saturday kick in Fresno right before the bye.
Nov 21 vs San Diego State The regular season conference finale. The Aztecs beat Boise State 17-7 in the rain last year, finished 9-4, and ranked sixth nationally in scoring defense. The Pac-12 title game matchup is set right after this week.
Three First Meetings
Boise State has never played Memphis, Western Michigan or Texas State. Memphis visits The Blue for the first time on Sept 12, and Texas State arrives as a new Pac-12 member on Halloween night.
The Flex Game
The Pac-12 plays seven conference games plus a nonconference flex date against another league member in the finale. Boise State’s Nov 28 opponent will be one of Colorado State, Fresno State, Utah State or Washington State, all on the road.
Title Game at Home?
The Pac-12 Championship on Friday, Dec 4 is hosted by the league’s top finisher, the same setup Boise State used to host and win the last two Mountain West title games. Danielson is 19-2 in conference play.

How the Schedule Sets Up

Oregon is the only Power Four opponent, so the September stretch after Eugene (Memphis, South Dakota, then the trip to Kalamazoo) is where the Broncos need to bank wins before league play. The only back to back road games, Fresno State and Washington State, are split by the Oct 17 bye. November is friendly: three of the last four scheduled games are at Albertsons Stadium.
