MLB Wild Card Series Schedule 2026: Dates, Matchups and TV on NBC and Peacock

The 2026 MLB Wild Card Series run from Tuesday, September 29 through Thursday, October 1. There are four best of three series, two in each league, and the higher seed hosts every game. All of them air on NBC and NBCSN, with Peacock streaming every NBC game plus up to six exclusive games. It is the first postseason baseball on NBC since the 2000 ALCS.

The Matchups

The No. 3 seed hosts the No. 6 seed and the No. 4 seed hosts the No. 5 seed in each league. The No. 1 and No. 2 seeds get byes into the Division Series.

What Comes Next

The Wild Card winners advance to the Division Series, which start Saturday, October 3. The winner of 4 vs. 5 plays the No. 1 seed, and the winner of 3 vs. 6 plays the No. 2 seed. The bracket is fixed, with no reseeding.
