Conference and overall records for all 16 SEC teams, tallied from completed games and updating on their own. Early in the season most teams have not played a conference game yet, so the table sorts by overall record until league play begins.

The New Nine Game Schedule

2026 is the SEC’s first season with a nine game conference schedule, up from eight. Every team now plays three annual opponents plus six rotating ones, which means a tougher path to the championship game and, the league hopes, a stronger case for multiple playoff berths. It also means conference records will separate teams faster than they used to.

How the Championship Game Works

The two teams with the best conference records meet in Atlanta on the first Saturday in December. There are no divisions; they were eliminated when Texas and Oklahoma joined in 2024. Ties are broken by head to head result, then by record against common conference opponents, then by a computer ranking.
