What to Watch
This is the most consequential division race in baseball because neither Houston nor Texas has been holding a wild card spot. Realistically the division winner goes to October and the runner up goes home, which is not true of the other close race in the AL Central.
Both teams have hovered around .500 for weeks, so this is a race between two clubs that have not been able to pull clear of mediocrity. Seattle needs to pass both to matter, and the Angels have been eliminated from the division race.
